There's a lot of pressure to have progress & results people can see & you can post about online. Screw that! Just do you. Be preggers with that project. Let it grow and do your thing. Eventually, when you are ready, people will notice. 
I often wonder how other people get work done when they seem to be constantly stopping to post said work on twitter
It does seem to stutter the progress, doesn't it? And projects change & morph all the time. Would be difficult to post something, change a major aspect of it, & then have to deal with various opinions of something not even published yet. Sounds stressful. 
I wrote multiple blog posts about the networking that I built into my game and the game absolutely shipped without networking. Luckily only a few people were mad
