That would definitely be ideal. I think many of them do it early so that they have coverage to auto-post while out of the office during the holidays.

You're not wrong. But then they'd have to work through December. I can't begrudge people for taking Christmas holidays. I don't even celebrate Xmas and I wish my profession allowed for that, or any other kind, of scheduled annual vacation time

I do that on general principle. I know at least two games on my top 10 and bottom 10 were released in December. It borders on absurd.
