i don't understand why but I really do like working on menu systems and makin' everything flow really nice

I always think I should find some system for menus but end up hand-coding them entirely because everything is one-off & specific
I've done both...I think for games, hand coding is a better option (for coders), whereas for applications a wysiwyg is better

On large projects I've used a hybrid where an artist uses a wysiwyg and the coder uses scripts or code to make the parts move

On one project we used lua for ui and c++ for game code but it always felt like ... why add this extra layer of the game is c++ already
