It would have been really awesome if Breath of the Wild came with an instruction manual. Moreso than any other game I can think of.

Agreed. Even if I don't really care to find the controls in a booklet, I love reading the backstory and character info.

Yeahhh...if we gotta buy a strategy guide solely for the recipes, like my coworker and I did, then it needs a booklet.
