Walmart in store was very painless for me about 2 1/2 hour ago. I was the first and only person to show up. Hope this helps.
Ah, I guess they made it so that you can only pre-order at a store by physically driving there?

yes sir and you're only required to put down 10% today. Just head to the back of the store where they do online pickup/layaway.
