It bothers me in the latest Tomb Raider games that Fast Travel lets you circumvent cave-ins, etc that happen in the story.

shadow warrior 2 had 2 points of no return where the side missions you hadn't finished would be unavailable from that point

as far as I remember, with the right gear you can always go back in foot.

I agree. Still it's better than not being able to go back and 100% the exploration based game (like in Ori for example).
