Observation: In Zelda 3, items serve as a key to unlock each boss. In Super Metroid, both bosses and items are keys unlocking progress.

@AxiomVerge some of these items (Botwoon, Crocomire, Ridley) are just E Tanks, but it's still something
@LordGarvar There isn't really an equivalent of the Triforce in Metroid...or the main bosses themselves are like Triforce pieces.
