@stevec0re I just use the "copy" option and read the files as plain xml at runtime.

@AxiomVerge thank you! Do you export the files from Tiled as a tmx or xml? Also do you used TiledLib or something similar or custom?1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

@stevec0re I think the tmx is already xml. So I just read it with xmlserializer. There is a binary tmd or something that I don't use.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

@AxiomVerge Oh true. So wow you just parsed it and created your own importer / library more or less?1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

@stevec0re Yeah, I actually made a bunch of classes matching the tmx structure and the serializer automatically fills it using reflection.2 replies 0 retweets 0 likes -

@AxiomVerge hey man, sorry to bother again...any tips for dealing with the tile compression? I read about zlib a bit, looks tricky...1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

@stevec0re I didn't compress individual maps, but on PC I used dotnetzip (I think) to put all files into a single resource.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

@stevec0re I think it's best to save that stuff for the last thing you do.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

@AxiomVerge oh, yeah for sure. Sorry I meant the other way around! The tile "map" itself is compressed in tmx files...3 replies 0 retweets 0 likes -

@AxiomVerge Tiled must do it by default. But I've this string of madness more or less. Wonder if you had to deal with that or not...1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes
@stevec0re There is some way to export them as uncompressed ascii. Makes it easier to debug as well.
