I do think CDPR can come back from this with the right steps. There's simply so much CP2077 does get right. I can see the sparkle of the gem underneath the rubble. If they can fix bugs, enhance world interactivity, & release awesome expansions, it can thrive big time. If. 🤞

Maybe it could be like FFXIV, No Man's Sky, Slain, etc

One can only hope. This shouldn't have happened in the first place, but alas, the reality of the present is that this is where we're at, and the next best thing we can hope for is a strong comeback like your listed titles.

Right now, it seems like they're trying to deliberately sabotage themselves. Look that GOG has done just recently as part of their "repair our reputation" strategy, specifically with Red Candle Games's game Devotion and their conspicuous callousness to their own customers.

No Man's Sky is a bad example of good comebacks. From my close circle of friends who wanted to buy it, to this day, nobody did it. A totally forgettable game, no matter how many improvements it has.

well, that's a subjective point of view. Objectively, it's had a resurgence of players in the last year, averaging between 10-20k concurrent players on steam per month, compared to 1-2k players the first year.

I don't even think it's nearly as bad as most of those games. The vast majority of issues are technical, but the content underneath is already awesome

14 was so bad they LITERALLY nuked it and made the nuking part of the established lore. I wouldn't say Cyberpunk's THAT bad.
