with any kind of game award, i really wish they'd tell us *why* a game won (if selected by a jury and not popular vote)
i.e. what does it mean to be 'Game of the Year' if we don't know the criteria or the reasoning? what determines 'Best Visuals'?? it'd be cool to know

IMO it makes for a better live show also — it gives the writers and presenters authentic material to draw from!
Indiecade also gives feedback to losers! "I hate metroidvanias" wasn't so good but the rest was helpful.
