Answering questions about a release date again and again is like that scene where someone is tied to a chair, eyes forced open, and has to watch, on repeat, the most annoying and trite stuff.

It's a huge frustration for both sides.

What's worse though are 'jokes' like "will it ever come out?". By people who should know better (e.g. other developers).

As if it's not just a tiny developer (less than 1% of the workforce of the big titles in the genre) working step by step to get a game out with enough unexpected struggles on the way and a huge mental toll to carry.

Also: "Feature creep!" ... *eye rolling* ... I'm working since 2015 to get the game finished in the vision I imagined then in 2015. I'm not adding to the vision along the way. Be more precise and professional in your examination and criticism, please.

Outside perspective... I can see your frustrations but Interest is interest. There are so many devs that would kill for this problem/annoyance. Your vision and scope of work is huge, people already love it and are excited, this comes with the territory.

Oh, I don't want to complain about the amount of comments I get. I'm really happy that there are people out there interested, and the vast majority of them writing positive comments. ... The issue of these comments is unconnected to the visibility of the project, though.

Anyone working for a few years on a project would get them, irregardless of the actual situation, if it would feel like a painful subject for the developer or not. And that's what kind of annoys me about them.

@AxiomVerge (Tom Happ) seems to have similar frustrations. However, you both are blessed to create at your own pace and the standards set are your own. Make art for you, because it makes you happy, anyone else who gets it is a bonus. We who do get it will patiently wait for you.1 reply 0 retweets 1 like
LOL yeah I've even had other devs think I could finish a complete game in like a year ... EA/Ubisoft releasing full games each year makes it harder for the rest of us
