the ending, there was still maybe 30% of the map left to explore. And I was like, what enjoyment could I even get mopping up all that content? But Odyssey seems a bit more complex, with the cultists and mercenaries and ship system. I like how they make you look for clues about
cultists rather than just putting them in your path in the main plot. I do wish some of the secondary objectives made more sense. Like why to complete a location do you have to sometimed fight the same people you were just helping? It's something I expect more from a GTA game.
Swapping back and forth between Greece and Sparta for the battles makes absolutely no sense. Especially when you attack Sparta to destabilize the region, then side with them in the battle and help them win. (For the extra loot in a "hard mode" fight.) It's silly.
I played Odyssey first and was stunned by how much better Origins was in terms of visuals, the feel of the combat, the diversity of locations, the tomb designs, the characters.
But I reallllly like being a pirate too. And I could hunt cultists all day. (And have.)
