Only just this second occurred to me to wonder what would happen if you responded to a "It's Adam and EVE, not Adam and STEVE" person with "Who was Cain's wife?"

I think Judaism might have a specific answer but that's not *literalist*, is it? Never heard a rabbi pull "Adam and Steve". I'm just thinking, if Genesis believers get to hypothesize a non-textual person named Awan, I should get to hypothesize a non-textual person named Steve

If we're supposed to mimic everything in Genesis to the exclusion of the rest of the Bible, we should be like, "It's the Garden of Eden, not the CIVILIZATION of Eden", and probably other stupid stuff like that
