In Ghost it is more like the bad guys have driven everyone out so you feel like you are saving those beautiful towns rather than corrupting the peace with your bloodshed? So I'm actually glad for once that they are one dimensional.
I dislike that they make you fight dogs in some parts, but at least they don't give the dogs names and sympathetic whining noises. They are more like evil black shadows with mouths full of fangs that live only to kill you. But in AC you would be able to tame them.
Last night I killed 2 bears that were locked in cages just so I could harvest their predator hides. Not sure what that says about me as a human being.
