Hey Tom, I actually work for Tesla Engineering. I am woefully uninformed on this subject and would be interested to know more about wheel chair compatibility. What is the limiting factor on the battery in the floor? We can switch to DM if prefer.
When I asked on of the reps for a company making conversions (I forget which company) if there were any accessible teslas, they said it's not possible because they need to cut a hole in the floor to fit the ramp; you can see some examples here:https://www.mobilityworks.com/vehicles/

Got it. I don’t know what you are comfortable spending, but the Model X is an enormous car, and if you remove the 2nd row of seats, the interior floor is flat. It seems like some solution should exist but likely custom/one off. Maybe test drive a model 3 for your second car :)
