Is it a good game? I feel like I cant find a genuine opinion.

Just finished Days Gone, LOVED that game! Almost as much as I loved Axiom Verge!

Many of my favorite games have strong linear design. It’s just another variety of game type to play. There is at least some linearity in all games, even Axiom Verge has a specific sequence of areas you can access unless you figure out a glitch or skip.

The first section of Seattle is a mini open-world section. Otherwise, the game is very much a guided, meticulously crafted moment-to-moment adventure like most Naughty Dog games. I prefer it this way, as the game is seemingly already enormous content-wise despite being linear.

Pretty mind blowing how this came from the same studio that made Jak and Daxter- one of the best nonlinear platformers ever made. So disappointing that their design priorities have gone backwards since then.

It is often funny what is considered a barrier in Naughty Dog games and other games where the obstacle is clearly easily surmountable.
