Wondering if other 2d devs make their own background parallax editor or if you just edit xml data/code by hand until it looks right

I do it by hand. But my games don't look a fraction as good as yours do.
Well, I also do it by hand. Just returning to my occasional internal debate of whether I really need a tool ... would possibly take longer to make the tool than the amount of time I'd save using it?

Probably just depends on how much time you spend tweaking your background stuff. If you do it a lot, then it might be worth it.
