My course of action too
I think I've decided not to play FF7 remake until all the episodes are out. Of course this means I may never play it, but I think I would feel frustrated otherwise.

That was my original plan, however seeing just how truly massive the work involved is, I realized the studio likely needed to release it in episodes to fund the development as they go.

Agreed, Final Fantasy 7 as a whole, is gigantic, and it may even be a lot bigger if in the far far future all of the Episodes will be released. The First Episode has a lot of added Content so far. It may seem like a stretch but it's a good one, i think. (3-5H vanilla vs 30-40h).

I might because I never played FF7 personally and would probably not be able to tell a difference where it ends in the full story from the original.

It does seem like a good idea although I was never hot on 7 compared to the other ps1 FF games. I didn’t even complete 7, got to the temple of the ancients then my save corrupted on the cheap-o PlayStation magazine memory card I had!
