Thinking about how when I was in university, it was unusual to have a laptop that you brought to class with you. It's not even like I was in school THAT long ago, but it was a completely different time in terms of technology. My freshman year computer had a 20GB hard drive.
Back in 1996 my girlfriend lugged around one that had a color screen and cost $5000... I don't even spend that much in today's money on computers...
