NYKRA is extremely vast, and I have a very high standard for myself when it comes to pixelart and scenes. Remember, I have to do everything for this game. It’s not that I can just hire someone to help either; this is a different situation. It’s extremely hard to open my heart
The more detailed your art, the longer it seems to take for everything... colors, frames of animation, tiles in the tileset...even your code gets more complicated. I don't know that it's necessarily worth it to have these things at the cost of years of one's life
I guess that’s the balance isn’t it. I’ve found my standard for art has increased over the years, and that’s definitely had a negative effect on me but a positive effect on the game
