      Super happy for Joel, but it is very rare that developers get to be in that situation. CEO’s, CFO’s,upper execs, company founders and investors do, but the devs who make the games very, very rarely find themselves in a ‘retire and waterski’ situation. And that sucks.

      So just to be clear, the article is really good. And anyone who can make enough to retire when they want has my eternal respect and admiration. Just think its important to note that most who develop games are not making that kind of money where early retirement is an option.♥️

      Also, full support to those who choose to make games until they die, because its thier choice. I think our generation and the ones that follow are going to have a much different relationship with retirement as the age gets pushed up, costs of living rise and SS goes bye bye.
