"But Cathy, I thought you said older games don't have relevance or value today!" I probably should have articulated my stance. I should have said that most older games aren't FUN in 2019 (as it should be) or relevant to today's gamers. BUT, of course there's educational value.
One thing that is kind of sad to let go is just how amazing and novel they felt at the time... there is no way to erase your mind of all the advances since then and experience them like a child again
I think some games luckily hold up as a testament to moment to moment gameplay that are still fun. But yeah, man, if only we could ALSO experience them as the magic they were when we were youngins.
