Having said that, yes, this film completely hedges its ideological bets, it fails to stand for anything, and it definitely wants those who are already predisposed to feeling this way to exult in JOKER becoming (spoliers) JOKER.
I'm not so interested in seeing this film... I kinda like the Joker better not having an origin story, like he's a force of nature or a manifestation of the collective unconcious in some Neil Gaiman kinda way

Won't you prefer the Netflix series? 10 episodes would be great to try and make a good adaptation of Preludes and Nocturnes.
