My least favorite DRM has to be the DRM on VST plugins. Especially fun when your project has like a 100 of them and you barely remember how you are supposed to activate them, the activation site is in German, etc.

This is one of the only reasons re-installing Windows is a potential nightmare for me. Having to re-install some programs, eh. Having to go through a bunch of different DRM on VSTs with varying amounts of difficulty and methods is not fun in the slightest.
Yeah, it is awful... it's like it's already bad enough having to keep track of vst2 vst3, dxi, 32 bit, 64 bit, etc, can you just give us a break for once?

Wait a second, there's a VST3 now? I only recently wrapped my head around VST2 on top of 64-bit VS 32-bit instruments, but there's a third format now??

VST3 has been out since 2008. :) Some software still doesn't support it so I wouldn't feel bad about not being aware of it!
