      Super Mario Bros 2 was one of the first games I bet on the NES, back in the day. (I think I was seven...) I have way more fondness for it than SMB1 or SMB3. It feels mysterious and dangerous.

      Agreed, the first Nintendo power I had covered it and I remember how magical it was when my older brother, who worked at Toys R Us gave it to me and my other brother for Christmas. It was the first video game sequel next to Simon's Quest and holds a special place in my heart 😁

      IIRC it was hard to find and my grandmother went into Manhattan (about a half hour from her house) to find it for me. I think she said it was $75 (lots of memory have on this) but definitely one of the best presents she ever got me
