it’s much better/different in CA.. our experience out here has been less than satisfactory.
This is for nausea meds when Alastair had a cold/flu. Was $1812.55 before insurance. The @CareNow urgent care was freaked out by the fact that he's disabled and sent us to an ER across town. Took hours to get seen and cost ton. Hope medical care is different in CA.pic.twitter.com/vBkLyw0PZB

I don't think you would have fared much better at care now, I took my daughter for what was essentially a scratch and walked out with $1,000 bill at one of those types of places. And this is with pretty good insurance.

You should move to Sweden :) That would have cost you exactly $0, just like everything else for child healthcare. Plus you get a monthly support of around $1000 for children with special needs, great for us parents with special needs kiddies. I Hope CA treats you better.
