I think for me it maybe was too realistic - there were some minigames but overall it was a lot of walking and talking. So I wonder how much more gaminess you could inject into it without it becoming hokey and immersion breaking.

I think part of the genius of @NightInTheWoods is how it pairs expressive cartoon character visuals with behaviors that are completely those of realistic 20-something humans. So you get something that feels more real than 99% of games without needing millions in tech budget.
