Can anyone think of 2d platformers that have good or at least better than average AI? Mark of the Ninja and Shadow Complex come to mind for me, trying to come up with others.

What do you define as “better than average AI”?
Well if you compare games like Mario where the enemies just repeat a pattern over and over versus games like Horizon Zero Dawn where enemies appear to have goals and decision making abilities ... somewhere between the two

I don’t have a good answer immediately, but I’d ask which enemy(ies) in Axiom you feel like had the best AI. Any of them you’re particularly proud of?

I think if them as barely having AI at all, just blind conditional logic
