      I guess as a non-native speaker, I honestly only realized it means more than 'yes' quite recently - I've always used it as 'enthused yes'.

      Tone and inflection change it a lot. Saying "Sure!" enthusiastically is nice. But a cold 'sure' contains a hidden message.
