hey, fellow game developers (all of you) don't make me watch an intro or create a save file or character before I can access an options menu. sometimes the game loads in the wrong resolution or in windowed mode, and I wanna be able to fix it *before* I play

this goes for all of you. ESPECIALLY pixel art games, which often end up either tiny or blurry when launching on a 4k monitor

A cyborg game where you start out in a chair getting all your augments implanted/tuned up, which also doubles as a controls/audio/video options menu

A puzzle game where you assemble the video option text out of tetris pieces in a little 160x144 square on your 4k monitor and it just looks like the moire effect no matter what you do
