i am gay and i am addicted to hard science fiction and i am endlessly annoyed hard sci fi authors act like since they have science they don't need to write fully inhabited human characters or gay people or, like, women i like it when fantasy has a sci fi feeling and vice versa

Yeah! It's weird, he's either VERY hit or VERY miss for me. But I *really* liked Revelation Space and the first act of Terminal World. And Century Rain was really good.

I'm still kinda convinced that the first third of Terminal World was originally written as a standalone novella and the rest got added later.
