Developers: Can you recommend any fonts that are aliased (not anti-) and look good at small sizes? Also looking for CJK fonts with the same properties (if they exist). The typical font websites out there make it very difficult to find useful fonts with these attributes.

uni 05_53 is the classic indie lowrez game font, but there are a bunch of others here: http://www.miniml.com/fonts/#
YES! This is just the kind of thing I was looking for. Now to find some CJK fonts that do the same (or as close as it can get given their compexity)...

Sadly I don't know of any CJK pixel fonts, but I bet they must exist. At least simplified J anyway (eg NES/SNES games used these)
