My vehicles extended warranty has been expired and I've gotten my "last" courtesy call before the case is closed about 5 times a week for the last 2 years.

Student loans & Credit card refinancing. Constantly. What's more irritating is that most of these calls come from numbers nearly identical to mine. These "companies" use actual people's numbers to call. My number has been used like that too.

I called AT&T, and the rep told me that it's a well known issue, and they can't do anything about it. But hey! They offered to change my number for free!

Something that happened last week here in Brazil: A programmer got fed up of frequent calls to his house, and created a JavaScript app to call back to the company, play a recorded voice and hang up. He made 180 calls in one day.
