Makes it feel a bit pointless

I hate when games do that. I want to be able to sequence-break and stealth through everything

It sounds somewhat similar to the Spider-Man Noir section in Shattered Dimensions, but they split the game’s direction in that section to make it like that.

I hated Uncharted’s stealth! As a lover of stealth games it infuriated me how little the stealth actually mattered and how it was scripted that I had to be found somehow magically

Yeah so far it’s my biggest bummer and also enemies sometimes just gang up on you a bit too much . A bit hard when fighting the shield guys and the big brute demons

I *think* you can break combat and go hide in a lot of situations to return to stealth mode. Maybe it doesn't work in more scripted sequences though? Still kind of a cheat though.

Spider-Man is basically another Arkham game.

I think this has already been mentioned, but where Spiderman differs is that you're not typically boxed in, so you can flee out to another rooftop until things reset. "Waves" are just such a videogame-y thing, though...
