  When I was young I got rejected from EA for not doing my research. On the way to lunch I saw a NASCAR poster and said "NASCAR? Don't tell me you like that crap. You're not some drunk hick." Turns out they were working on the game. I learned multiple important lessons that day :)

  not so much rejection, but more dream crushing. when i was younger i wanted to get i to game design at a time when gaming wasn't the powerhouse it is today. the idea was completely rejected by everyone around me: parents, teachers, and even my friends. sigh...:/
