Well, i suspect that actually means lots of people in los vegas are talking about los vegas, but, i have my trend location set to Kuala Lumpur*, and I notice "malaysia" is trending * You can't turn off the trend box but you can set it to a place whose language you don't speak

Yeah… this worked better when it was set to Tokyo. However it achieved my goals because (1) the summaries (does twitter still do that?) are gone, and (2) the trending topics are almost always, like, pop groups, and not horrifying political things

Interesting... I don't think they have free press there so I wonder if Twitter suppresses that stuff for compliance...
