I don't remember the combat in Until Dawn being so awkward though... maybe it just amounts to consistency in what buttons they choose for actions. Like how come sometimes you press 'x' and other times you have to waggle the controller?

Also surreal and uncomfortable trying to reunite with your child in a concentration camp in what I'm sure was intended to be fiction and not a commentary on what's happening *right now* in the world. Hard to imagine anyone not feeling real fear right there

I agree with the combat thing. The QTE style also suffered from the fact that some of the indicators were very hard to identify in a rush. Moving the controller in certain way was especially annoying.

If the hate is about having to rapidly press the right buttons in time to not get killed... then yes, it's probably warranted. I just happen to be skilled enough at it that I could complete the story

The combat is this way since heavy rain, and the performance affect the story, i just play the demo in pax, trying to find time to play the full game
