Although this article was written with the front of the store in mind, most of the insights shared apply to #tech in the back of the store as well! "Time spent engaging in monotonous tasks is a cost to everyone: #store, user and shopper."

"By providing real-time and historical system performance, diagnostic #IoT technology allows #HVAC contractors to remotely monitor their customers’ systems anytime, anywhere." At Axiom, we're seeing the exact same trends in #refrigeration as well!
Refrigerant management is a hugely important part of an electrified #grid! "As Yale shifts away from fossil fuels and toward refrigerant-based electric systems, the proportion of #refrigerants in the it's greenhouse gas inventory will rise significantly."
Axiom’s apps can help! With proper monitoring & maintenance, all 7 of these failure modes can be avoided. The apps were purpose-built to autonomously predict, & in many cases prevent, the failures listed, along with dozens of other refrigeration issues.

7. Corrosion or Electrical Issues - moisture in the system will react to form acids, which can quickly corrode a compressor’s electrical system. Power surges, improper wiring, or voltage spikes can also lead to failure of one phase of a compressor’s three-phase motor.

6. Refrigerant or Oil Contamination - The only things inside a compressor should be oil and gaseous refrigerant! Anything besides refrigerant and oil in the system is considered a contaminant, including air, water, dirt, noncondensables, and chips of piping or brazing.

5. Short Cycling - Short cycling is when a compressor cycles on and off too frequently. The main issues with short cycling are oil loss and decreased energy efficiency. These compressors were cycling over 100x/day!
