I was saying this recently. I used to bump into odd little owls up here occasionally bur not these days. Ive notseen an accidental one for years now.

Lost both pairs in my Sedgefield patch within 2 years. Habitat not changed nor farming as far as I can tell. Read speculation that may be linked to increase in Buzzards which are doing well here. Any substance to this?

Our regular breeding pairs at The Swannery disappeared over 20 years ago but a few pairs hung on elsewhere in Abbotsbury. Pleased to report though that a pair bred at The Swannery again last year. Fingers crossed they'll be back this year
