That's a good question - since the video is marked as having sponsored content in the metadata, it's not like YouTube was unaware. What's the deal @TeamYouTube?

It's how the DMCA system works. Get mad at
@UMG They made the claim and confirmed it's not false. The creator appealed now its back to@UMG. Here wordpress explains their process https://en.support.wordpress.com/our-dmca-process/ … Notice the webmaster/host must follow this to not be held liable.7 replies 0 retweets 23 likes -

You can’t reason with a boot licker my friend - even in this obvious situation in which Youtube siding with an illegal copyright violation causes Lindsay to be in breech of her agreement with her sponsor

When a company does what Word Press says they do IE reject their claim they can be held liable for any actual infringement that court decides has taken place. So in all but the most literal definitions of fair use you won't see wordpress do shit. They just comply

Someone in one tweet convinced me what you couldn't in 20 : https://twitter.com/ajgb2004/status/1187683602345144320 … I think it is unreasonable of youtube to go out of their way, of whats mandated by DMCA, in the fashion that they have. I was under the impression they were following the letter of the law.
Thomas McSwain added,
ajgb2004 @ajgb2004Replying to @Bucket_Of_Crabs @jess689_ and 3 othersNo it's not. This is Youtube's internal copyright process. a) DMCA requires taking down the content, not putting ads on it. b) DMCA doesn't give you 30 days to review a counter claim, it gives you 10-14 days to *file a real lawsuit*.2 replies 0 retweets 0 likes
