Hard disagree. Finding value and learning from losses does’t have to equate to anger. How you progress is your ability to handle your failures, understand what it takes to overcome it, and then putting in the work TO overcome it.https://twitter.com/Ninja/status/1229888740698599424 …

The phrase “it’s just a game” is such a weak mindset. You are ok with what happened, losing, imperfection of a craft. When you stop getting angry after losing, you’ve lost twice. There’s always something to learn, and always room for improvement, never settle.

I agree. His point is valid and yours should tie with it. It’s not like he’s saying “I’ll punch a hole or something.” I’ve been there before and still am now. I get angry at myself cause I know I could’ve handled situations better to change the outcome. Then I review and adapt.

If anything, I think if he used the word “frustrated” then people wouldn’t be reaching at “throwing the controller, punching a wall, cussing the other people out.” Nonsense. He could’ve used a better word to replace “anger”

If you don’t get frustrated at losing and then improve yourself afterwards then honestly that is weak minded. I know that we both have seen this in Smash4

What I saw in s4 was that people became angry but didn’t learn from their losses. The same people who were upset that they were going 0-2 still ended up doing it while others worked on it. You can’t compare a weak mindset to an ignorant one.

You think it’s weak for people to not have an idea or know where to go for advice/learn to get better? Not everyone has the same access as we do on how to keep improving. How would anger change that?

You don’t have to be ‘angry’ to work on it. It can be a source of motivation, sure. To imply that you shouldn’t feel good about not being “perfect” at your craft and considering it a loss is reaching. Even the best can still improve.

Everyone has their own ways of going about it. But I’m saying that this shouldn’t be the only mindset which his tweet gave off that connotation. I can get upset with myself after a loss, doesn’t mean I think I’m a failure. Shows me there’s more I can do to improve and learn.

I don’t need to be frustrated to understand that. 🤷🏾‍♂️

In smash4 it was mostly “ehh there’s next tourney.” Mindset. Frustration is just a step that is naturally taken. You think when Lebron loses a game he isn’t upset? Of course he is. When you lose you can be like “damn” or be like “fuck” but both of them is considered frustration.
