Gaming wasn’t a career or seen as something that you could progress through life with. It was a luxury that became negative because others saw no benefit at the time. Mental health and awareness wasn’t a big topic years ago. With social media, online gaming, forums, etc..
it allowed people from all over to be able to connect and play with each other. People they might not be able to connect with in school. Esports is becoming a norm in society which it wasn’t 10-15 years ago.
I’m trying to push the narrative that it does provide some benefit to others, mentally or emotionally, and has the ability to bring together Muslims who share the same and hobby and place them in a setting they can be comfortable with other Muslims in.
