Started a small group with @zayfa72 called ‘Muslim Gamers of America’: a thread.
Likes/RT’s always appreciated.
Primarily smash-focused but looking to advocate and push to drop the negative stigma behind gaming in general, especially within our culture.pic.twitter.com/nKdL7nWhwd

What's the purpose of the group? I don't understand it besides fighting against the stigma in the cultures. But I wouldn't mind to join in even tho I'm from EU.

Not just culture, but religion also. We'd like to create a safe environment for Muslims to come together and talk about gaming and/or play games.

I see. But are we in an unsafe environment right now that requires this group? Makes it seem somewhat elitist or something. Like I see a reason for smash sisters but this is in my opinion a bit extra. But if you don't mind I would like to see how it will work out and join too

It’s moreso putting others into a more comfortable environment with others of similar backgrounds (religion, culture, experiences, etc). Gives them an opportunity to meet others alike and help bring together Muslims from all over.

Replying to @AvoidRashad @Vuralol and
Gaming has been looked down upon in the community for awhile, imo mainly because of ignorance. People associate it with no benefit at all to someone’s life and don’t understand the actual positive impact it can make on someone, from depression/anxiety to an escape from stresses..

in life, and even something parents and those who are older have been hesitant about letting their kids get involved with. Put them in a group of muslims with similar interests and in a safe environment without judgment sounds p good to me.
