Sometimes I hate having the responsibility to rate/critique a game. Especially if the developers are watching and I say something bad about their game or no interest to play it. Makes me feel like shit knowing that I potentially made them feel crappy.

I think there is nothing wrong with critiquing. Most games can have things you love and dislike about them. Feedback is good. And there is a difference between that and shitting in a game, ya know?

^this. Honestly, they NEED constructive feedback to get better. They can’t fix what they don’t know is broken. It’s 100% fine to say “I’m not a fan of X mechanic because... and I wish instead it...” which is SOOO different than “X effing sucks and they’re idiots for doing that”

As someone who used to be a broadcaster/journalist now working on the other side? @Pokket nailed it!
Honest critique and feedback is always welcome and extremely important to the development cycle. It's all about how you present it to the company/community managers.
