need to get better at saying "no" to people
i get caught up either:
1) people pleasing
2) not wanting to look pompous or a b!tch (gendered, i know)
3) getting FOMO and/or guilt
symptoms of a lot of weird internalizations, but curious to know ppl's mindset on it

If I say yes to too many things, I don't do as good a job at any of them, and people thinking I'm not good at something makes me way more anxious than having to turn stuff down to keep quality higher. So basically I make FOMO and my desire to do good work fight.pic.twitter.com/9YXEgogn8n

FOMO is my arch-nemesis man, I feel this. Especially when people come to me and say, "Why didn't we do this again?" or "This would have been cool did you not have time to do it?"

Weirdly I guess it's not exactly FOMO, but I'd say it's definitely an internal struggle where my first instinct when someone comes to me with a problem is "I can fix that, I must protect." but then I had to learn to ask "Is fixing that going to make problems for me?"

Absolutely. When I see a hole I can help fix (and know I can improve it with my involvement) to aid the team, I jump on it. Then the problems for me start swinging and I'm like:pic.twitter.com/d9RSRXKJjm

This is exactly how young Hunter ended up pulling like 16-18 hour days editing photos on a deadline a few times instead of saying "No way, we can't make that date."
