Because of these various additional mechanics, abilities, and champions - our animations, tech artists, and programmers are often forced to implement everything twice. One for normal gameplay and one for Killcam/Top Play - which has to take into account every change possible...

...for every stage of animation, WHICH in turn, could end or begin suddenly and completely out of order due to how the systems were designed. It was a massive, massive undertaking which we have spent thousands of hours addressing over the years.

So while yes, it may seem like we're "fixing bugs by removing elements of the games" to many, the action was taken for the purpose of putting thousands of developer hours to better use fixing elements the team here feels are at the heart of the Paladins experience.

And the new systems we built? Death Cards, Commendations, and massive improvements to our post-match lobby screen? Really help to fulfill our vision for the game with a system that isn't legacy and is built from the ground up to support things Killcam/Top Play couldn't.

While I certainly understand the frustration, trust me, we wish we could make everything work flawlessly too, this was a decision we made to help the team focus on the awesome content coming in 2020. We're always about feedback, so be sure to let us know what you think in PTS!

I’m just pretty salty, I feel like I’ve wasted my money on skins I’ll rarely ever get to see. It sounds selfish I know but I hate to feel like I’ve wasted money. That’s basically it. Other than that, I still enjoy the gameplay.

They didnt fully remove it. They implemented all the rewards into the Free battle pass track. You can get as many crystals etc. as you would've in the daily rewards

Yeah, in exchange for completing X levels of it. It wasn't nearly enough to ask people to come as many days often as possible to get them as quick as possible. They had to make it even more grindy.pic.twitter.com/BoThrBtiYR

You kind of hit on the major issue with daily login - "It wasn't nearly enough to ask people to come as many days often". We want players to be rewarded with premium currency for actually engaging with the game, not doing a daily chore that you miss out on for taking a vacation..

Absolutely. We noticed a lot of people who felt it was more of a chore than a rewarding experience, and that's something we wanted to remedy moving forward. Plus, if you want to push for more Crystals faster because you enjoy being in the Realm? That's now a possibility!
