There's been a few changes since I last participated in playtests, including the introduction of regenerated health on top of the injury system. Feels a little strange considering the gameplay loop based around it, but I understand where they're coming from. On one hand...

...you have players who aren't feeling the idea of using a syringe every bullet you take is good for gameplay (which, I agree). It forces you to craft far too frequently and ensure you are bivouacing every other engagement. So that, that's fair.

But on the other hand, you have a system where injuries rarely occur now. I'm playing on Extreme with limited HUD, and I've been in firefights where I run away and take bullets, but die instead of getting a limp leg or wounded arm.

I feel 'weaker' as a soldier since I'm not battling through my wounds and trying to change my tactics based on if I have an injury, I'm just dropping and respawning. If that makes sense?

I think the best play would be to bring both into a balanced system, where you can eat a fair amount of damage and be wounded. But then if you are losing a health pip and aren't wounded, it can regen to full.

Think something thats.. nearly like BFV system. If you take 1 bar of health, that bar of health doesn't regen and so on.

Yeah, absolutely! Then if that bar drops, you get a wound which effects your movement, and you need to bandage to gain full use of said health bar. I think that would be a nice compromise.

The biggest thing with Breakpoint I'm learning since the closed playtests earlier this year, is that they're trying to reach to a wider audience by pulling back on some of the initial promises. While frustrating, it's understandable.

I think bringing those core features to the dedicated, supportive community from Wildlands who were looking forward to all of those would be a great solution. Survival Mode perhaps, or bringing those features to higher difficulties? Hoping we see that. :)

I just want Ghost Mode back. I love the idea behind the "If you die you restart from the beginning" mentality.
