Three days ago reviews for Red Dead came out, and there was 10/10s as far as the eye could see. Now all I’m seeing is people complaining about tedious gameplay, awkward movement and looting, and absolutely nothing about story. I’m now on the fence as to whether I want it at all?

There's no shopping menu. There's fully written catalogues. There's no Quest UI. There's just papers with the details you need to figure out yourself and people you need to talk to naturally to find things to do. It's absolutely wonderful.

Thanks to some of these systems? There's a sense of value for everything you do and own I haven't felt in years - that's the magic of the loop they've created.
