It honestly feels like twitter is an awful place for game devs to be today. So much unnecessary negativity, spite and close mindedness, it’s disgusting.

Yep, had a "great" morning reading through it all earlier. Disappointed.

It’s everywhere today. So many stories from so many studios.

I'm consistantly surprised by how things go for devs on Twitter. There's a million fans who yell at employees then get mad about silence. And dozens of employees who speak only to get further ridiculed.

We can’t win. And the second you open your mouth you open yourself up to this kind of behaviour, it’s easier to stay quiet and just ignore the noise.

I think it's all about supporting respectful conversation and discourse. Asking community, dev, or marketing teams questions is more than okay - so long as you're having a respectful conversation instead of yelling at them.

The other important thing people forget is that we're people too. We have hobbies, we have interests, and we have friends - all of who we like to share, talk, and tweet about.
Just because we work for a studio, doesn't mean every social interaction we have is focused on it.
