    While much of my family managed to escape Germany in time, Ida had refused to leave, choosing to stay with her daughter, Jenni, who was disabled. Ida was murdered at Auschwitz on October 7, 1942. Jenni was murdered at Theresienstadt on December 13, 1942.

    takes place today, the day the Allies liberated Auschwitz in 1945. They arrived too late to save my great great grandmother, Ida Goldschmidt, who had been killed there two years prior. May her memory, and that of all Holocaust victims, be a blessing. 🕯️

    Today Israel reopened its liaison office in Rabat 20 years after it closed, and a new consulate in Dubai. That brings Israel to 6 missions in the Arab world, three times more than it had six months ago.

    Here👏are👏the👏facts👏: 1. Under intl law, it is the Palestinian Authority, not Israel, that is responsible for Palestinian healthcare—including vaccinations—in the West Bank and Gaza. 2. The Palestinians have repeatedly rejected Israeli assistance with vaccinations. Enough.
